To improve above the established homeostasis, we sometimes need an external change to kick start growth, beyond just trying more. Sometimes, a purposeful restriction we impose forces us into demonstrating improvements in the core aspects of what we do. One restriction is the absence of personal and social proximity in this now disparate and virtual world we all live. We’ve found ways of improving some important skills and behaviours; communication, empathy, emotional intelligence, shared sense of purpose, boldness, ‘can do’ attitude etc

…because our motivation is huge!

When we're restricted, yet motivation elevates, we find ways to improve and the results can surpass those yielded in the former state.
Over time, as the restriction removes, we’ve grown and evolved beyond our previous standards and abilities – a new homeostasis.

Restriction + Motivation = Growth
